Southern Harford County (3/23):

In my most optimistic sentiment, I would call the day weather-wise 'ugly at best' - low 40's, gray, overcast and drizzly with a classic March rawness in the air. But a mid-day short stroll was needed - no matter (glad I still stowed a pair of gloves in the jacket). A singing PINE WARBLER was about all I heard or saw (plus a single OSPREY and a small flock of junco). It was a trying attempt to put out some strong trill through the moist, dense air, nonetheless, it sure stirred the senses to the spectrum of colorful forest birds soon to come!
