Following up on a tip from Dan Haas, I stopped by Oxbow Lake, AA
County, this morning to look for a FoY Blue-Winged Teal. Was almost
ready to "turn into a pumpkin" and have to drive into the office when
the pair helpfully swam into scope-view and flashed their wings. Were
also a couple of Rusty Blackbirds out on the flats, although I probably
did not get a complete count.

But the highlight was a group of 40 Tree Swallows perched on low
vegetation toward the back of the lake, occasionally taking off en
masse, illuminated by the sun, and hawking for insects.
