The bird was watching the highway, just North of John Brown Road in QA County.
The bird had full white cheeks, giving it the appearance of a full white head at 55 mph. It was so striking I looped around for a better look. The bird flew as I approached in my car. Aside from the overall light coloration, the hawk was typical, save for extensive white cheeks.
I know, it is nothing too rare, but this stunning looking bird should be easy to relocate for anyone traveling on 301.
There were 4 Black-crowned Night Herons on one of the ponds just East of Kent Narrows.
Good Birding,
