Hi all,

This afternoon I went birding close to home in Rock Creek Park.  Birding was slow, so I started to watch the many American Robins running across the grass and pulling up worms.  One bird in particular was much darker than the typical robin, the black of the head very solid and extending down past the nape and onto it's back. The white edging on the wings was duller too, and the robin's throat had very little white.  I had my camera with me, and  took several pictures. I check Sibley's ID guuide on robins and it matched the photo.  This was the only robin of this type among the many typical robins.
