Weather:
Sunny turning partly cloudy early and ending up cloudy; 46-59 degrees; fair
visibility becoming good; winds from the WNW or W, 12-16 mph, gusting to 22
mph

Raptor Observations:
A fine day for hawkwatching with a good flight and excellent observers on
duty.  Best day so far for Sharp-shinned Hawks, Cooper's Hawks, and
kestrels.  First juvenile Bald Eagle of the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
First Purple Martin of the season; Northern Shoveler on the pond; a flock
of 18 Gadwalls flew in bayside; 9 migrant Common Loons.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest. The Park is closed to visitors on Wednesdays.
