My morning walk around Schoolhouse Pond was highlighted by the arrival of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and the continuing of 2 Blue-winged Teal. The gnatcatchers were in the scrubby willows around the pond, while the Blue-winged Teal were in the vegetation at the rear of the pond along with four Green-winged Teal and a half dozen Wood Ducks. Other new arrivals were several Barn Swallows mixed in with the Tree Swallows. Also of note was a pair of Phoebes that appear to be nestbuilding under the boardwalk. Other birds included five Wilson's Snipe, four Osprey, a group of Mrytle Warblers, a singing Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and flyover Herring, Ring-billed and Laughing Gulls.

During a brief walk yesterday (4/4) after work at Governor Bridge Natural Area, I also had some Blue-gray Gnatcatchers there. Good birding,
