Just had a call from a neighbor across street where the harvest is underway that a small gamebird flew out of what left of very nice weedy field across street now slated for harvest expansion by a harvester today and last seen landed in my front yard. Went out to investigate with my trustworthy chesapeake bay/chocolate lab mix on a hunt and we found it to be a wild Northern Bobwhite resting among leave pile under tall weeds and butterfly bushes and had 4 photos taken on my blackberry. Some years ago, I mentioned about 5 wild turkey that came through and my parents had attend local community meeting and find out that no one in area or within miles raise gamebird around here except for guienafowl, chickens and domestic geese.

There are a few weedy field left nearby and wonder if that bird is countable. I know its on the eastern shore.

It was last seen heading to my barn and larger field in the back where the goats is.
