As Walter mentioned, if anyone wants to know what the AOU is really considering, you just have to check their "Pending Proposals" page.

The process has been fairly transparent for a few years now and I enjoy reading up on what is being considered.  
 
Some of the more interesting (to me) splits being considered right now are:
 
Mountain Chickadee into 2 species
Yellow-rumped Warbler into 2-4 species
Mexican Duck from Mallard
Bahama Warbler from Yellow-throated Warbler
Mexican Jay into 2 species

The only lump being considered involves Chestnut-mandibled and Black-mandibled Toucans.  

The extensive overhaul of the genera in Parulidae is up for consideration as well.

Please check the date on the ABA blog post and think hard about its implications. I am current with the latest literature and findings in systematics. None of the changes cited in the article are in the offing (Baltimore & Bullock's Orioles are not even each other's closest relatives).
