Thought today would be better than it turned out -- yesterday I was in
Manassas (yes, in that unnamed territory to the south...) and heard a
White-eyed Vireo calling near a friend's home. However, not much sign of
migration here. Stlll, as always some nice birds to be seen...
The highlght was the continuing COMMON LOON at Pine Lake, which
looked a great deal perkier than last week -- doing some short flights,
flapping and best if all, quite a bit of yodelling! All those hatchery
trout
must have been a treat...
Anyway, birds seen (39 spp.):

Interestingly, not a Junco to be seen but plenty still at our feeders 10
minutes away!
