Hi Everyone,

Today I can't go birding, but lucky the birding came to me this morning. Bleary-eyed, I went downstairs, opened the front door, and let our pets out.  As I looked at the foreboding black line of clouds, I knew the decision not to bird was a good call, until...  I heard it!  A beautiful, Yellow Warbler popped out from a flowering pear tree.

Well, maybe today will be a good birding day, but at least I got one FOY without even getting wet!

P.S. Even though we live in very urban Columbia Heights, DC For some reason, we have Yellow Warblers spend 1-2 months each spring in our tiny park on the block.  Sometimes they are accompanied by Redstarts, or other warblers, but the Yellows seem to hang out in the tall Locust Trees from mid April to Mid May - always singing away!
