We had some new birds stop by our small suburban backyard – an nice male Eastern Towhee Monday (we usually see them in the spring) and a Brown Thrasher today (very unusual for us, we’ve only had them a couple of times in the many years of watching birds in our yard). Lots of Dark-eyed Juncos have been passing through this week, all but a couple females. Today, we saw an interesting Junco that has characteristics of Cassiar Junco. I took a picture which is rather fuzzy that I can send to anyone interested.
