Greetings,

I do not recall ever seeing a Turkey in Cecil County before. However they are all over both the Aberdeen Area and the Edgewood Area of APG in Harford County.

This morning, at the kid’s bus stop and large tom Turkey waddled out of the woods and walked into our yard! Woo hoo! We are on the Elk Neck peninsula, which is where Turkey Point is, coincidentally. =)

It's been awhile since I posted so I'll give a quick note on other recent highlights regarding new observations beginning April 1.

I've found a new ACTIVE Bald Eagle nest on Hances Point. It was not there during the Atlas project.

Our Phoebes have returned (Hances Point). There are numerous Caspian Terns on both the North East River and the Susquehanna River. I had a Peregrin Falcon while crossing the I95 Bridge (Susq. R). On Thursday of last week. Lastly, in one drive around the Edgewood Area of APG, I counted 14 singing Pine Warblers on April 4.

One more thing, I've noticed the Juncos are much more vocal (singing) than in years past. Anyone else notice this?

Good Birding,
Chris Starling
Hances Point (North East), MD
