Good morning all,
A longer than normal walk this morning as I had a schedule change, so was able to linger and do two laps of the yard. So far I have seen 33 species in and around the yard, including a brownie Purple Finch at the feeders/fountain. Other nice birds included a singing male Towhee, hoardes of Chipping Sparrows, only a very small number of juncos, whose numbers have declined dramatically since early in the week, a few low-flying Broadwinged Hawks and Red-shouldered Hawks, a single molting Red-tailed Hawk, Barn and Tree Swallows, several N. Flickers and loads of Blue Jays. The mocker continues to bring material to the nest, and I have posted a sign.

Enjoy the weekend,
