Hi All:
   For some reason (hee hee) the Potomac River was quite high today and very brown water rushing over the hidden rocks at Great Falls.  We saw several common mergansers swimming through the trees but no other ducks on the water.

  No eagles were seen on or near the nest though one was seen flying near an osprey.  The blue herons are still busy at their nests and swallows were still very abundant particularly tree swallows.  A large flock (20+) of ring billed gulls flew up river.
