Happy Spring, everyone!

Lisa and I participated in the Scenic Rivers Land Trust "Walk for the Woods" in Bacon Ridge Branch Natural Area, adjacent to the old Crownsville Hospital, today. Afterwards, checking out the numerous swallows over the WWTP and ponds, at around 1:30 pm, we picked out a single CLIFF SWALLOW mingling with the Tree, Barn and Northern Rough-Winged Swallows. A new AA County bird, for sure.

The forest and streams on Bacon Ridge were beautiful, but a bit on the quiet side. We had 2 Palm Warblers; BG Gnatcatchers everywhere (I counted at least 6), and a singing Pine Warbler. A couple of WT Sparrows still lingering...

Good Birding!
