Mark Scarff and Joe Stag recorded 340 Broad-winged Hawks at the Cromwell Valley Park HawkWatch on Thursday the 14th.  A clear, cloudless sky made it difficult to spot many of these high flyers, and persistent scanning was rewarded.  The largest kettle was just under 50 birds. Several other raptor species were seen as well, and I will try to post the details this weekend. ( I left the numbers at work!)  The next week or so should bring peak numbers of BWs, and we hope to have the watch-site manned for as much time as possible.
