Yesterday afternoon I heard and saw my first-of-year Chimney Swift while walking in the neighborhood.  This morning a brownie Purple Finch showed up briefly in our yard, first we’ve had at the house this year.  Also this morning and unusual for us was a flock of 10 Blue Jays actively feeding in the yard before taking off.  I suspect these are migrants since we have been only seeing and hearing two Jays in the neighborhood.
