Got some nice looks at birds I haven't seen since last year. COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT was the first. Second was an ORCHARD ORIOLE. No. 3 was a small
group of ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS flitting around over the swamp near John
Owings Road. I also heard a YELLOW WARBLER over there but didn't see it. I
think I heard a REDSTART doing the song that sort of reminds you of a
Prothonotary, but I couldn't find it either. Nice look at a singing
WHITE-EYED VIREO, but that's old news since I got that one yesterday. YELLOW
RUMP was hawking bugs from a tree over the swamp. I don't think I've seen
them do that in the air before. Seems like every bird wants to be a
flycatcher these days.

Enjoying another nice day in Carroll County
