Hi all,

While bitterns have been seen/heard at hughes hollow for the last few weeks now, I thought some might be interested in one I found at seneca creek wetlands today. The vegetation here isn't quite as tall and there is an observation platform as well, so if this one sticks around it could make for some great views. My view this afternoon was incredible. The bird was gulping nonstop even out in the open in the bright sunshine.

I got about 3 minutes worth of shaky video of which I give you a 20sec clip.

Seneca Creek Wetlands can be reached by parking on the shoulder of rifle ford road and walking up the gravel trail .25mi. If you go at night please take a flashlight, part of the trail has been washed out and it would be a nasty 5' fall.
