MD Osprey:

As many of you know, the MD/DC Records Committee is working on a 
long-range (multi-year) project to publish a book on The Rare Birds 
of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

In an effort to keep ourselves motivated, I created front and back 
"concept" covers of what such a book might look like. The intent was 
to have something to hang on the wall to stimulate us to keep going forward!

I freely admit that I directly adapted the front and back covers of 
fine publication, The Rare Birds of California, published by the 
Western Field Ornithologist in 2007. This MD/DC cover version should 
not even be considered a first draft, it is just a concept at this 
point. We are a long, long way from actually designing a real cover.

I recommend using the small "download" link at the bottom of the
