My friend Miche Booz and I birded the scrubland section of Patapsco Valley
State Park this morning.
Our total of 44 species included 8 FOY birds:
Eastern Kingbird: pair displaying on last year's nest
House Wren: singing on deck
Wood Thrush: heard behind barn
Yellow Warbler: great view of 2 male chase
Prairie Warbler: heard (absent in 2010)
Swamp Sparrow:
Orchard Oriole: 3 males 1 female
Baltimore Oriole: heard only
