We were visiting my Mom for Easter dinner and went for a walk after the first big thunderstorm. My brother-in-law said, "Wendy, what kind of duck is that?" I turned my head and there was a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron in the field foraging for worms. It was in the field at the intersection of Shelbourne Rd. and Linden Ave. near a slightly wooded area that adjoins UMBC property. I was quite surprised to see this "duck" at this location. :)
