This morning I went to the McKeldin Area of Patapsco Valley State Park as
a preview for my field trip there on Saturday. It was warm and breezy. There
was not much migrant action. I saw only one non-breeding bird. Wood Thrush,
flycatchers (except Phoebe which has been scarce this year), and some of the
breeding warblers not in yet. Saw my first trillium in bloom here this year,
my earliest ever. I only covered the North Branch side of the park so all
bird species were also heard on the Baltimore County side of the river.

Yellow-throated Vireo 2 heard only
Red-eyed Vireo 2 heard only
Parula 4 heard only
Myrtle Warbler 1
Cerulean Warbler 3
Black-&-white Warbler 3 heard only
Ovenbird 3 heard only
Louisiana Waterthrush 4 heard only
Scarlet Tanager 2 heard only
