Hi All,

I did something I rarely if every do, and that is get up and go out birding before the sun raises - argggh!  But the birds being seen by Wallace & crew were too good to pass up.  Not being familiar with the "movements" of the early morning birding gang at RC, I missed them by going straight to the Maintenance Yard.  As the dawn broke, I waited with gleeful anticipation... which rapidly turned to confusion - no birds (or birders)?!?

Soon I met another RC early morning newbie, Josh, and the two of us head to the Nature center.  By 7pm the bird action began to heat up and we got some decent birds.  Rob Hilton stopped by and informed us of our mistake - start at the ridge, come over to the Nat. Center and then go on over to the Maintenance yard...  About 20 other birds were working that circuit, so stay tuned for their reports.

Highlights:

Blue-winged Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Yellow Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Indigo Bunting

Good Birding before the storminess hits!
