Morning all,
This morning was rather quiet, and cool and overcast. Not much new seen in the yard, but 3 Orchard Orioles were fun to watch and listen to. An adult male and female were chasing a 1st year male, who was also here yesterday near the feeders in the afternoon. Still have a nice singing Brown Thrasher, as well as mockers (who have now built another nest in an adjacent barberry bush in the front yard, which is nearing completion as she was gathering dead leaves yesterday). And a catbird was skulking in a holly by the side door. An Eastern towhee male showed up under the feeders last evening, as did the adult White-crowned Sparrow (both also present this morning). Male and female hummers coming regularly now.

Last evening we watched a trio of cottontail rabbits chasing each other all around the back yard, and just moments ago a tiny baby was hopping around on our front poch, as seen while I typed here at the computer. Last year I was walking down the driveway just in time to see a Red-tailed Hawk make off with an adult rabbit.
