A singing Cerulean Warbler was present this morning at Cushwa Basin, Wiliamsport. I first heard it at 07:15 from the far side of the stream across the aqueduct. Half an hour later it, or another sang from the trees between the parking lot and the stream.

Also present was a very vocal Prothonotary Warbler. Warbling Vireo was also evident. Another Prothonotary was across the aqueduct at the point where there is a trail down to river's edge.

Everyone, all two of them, on the walk I led for the C&O Canal Association enjoyed good looks at the Prothonotary, as well as a male Baltimore Oriole. Alas, I was not as successful getting them on the other warblers present, several Myrtles and Yellows, and one Chestnut-sided.

Pretty much routine stuff otherwise.

Vespers and Grasshopper Sparrows were singing at Antietam, with a Grasshopper video soon to appear on YouTube. At least TWO Northern Ravens were also evident. Generally with crow species in pursuit.
