Hi all --

Barry and I had actually intended to go to Rock Creek this morning, but
heavy traffic and several "flag-man" delays (why are you doing road work
during rush hour?) made us reconsider, do a "u"-turn and head back to
home turf.

Thus we got to Brookside Gardens a bit later than ideal, but there was
still
a lot of activity. Orioles were *everywhere*, as were Red-eyed Vireos. Fair
selection of warblers, but the best (two TENNESSEES together, singing
loudly) were in adjacent Wheaton Regional Park near Pine Lake. A
delightful little LEAST FLYCATCHER, FOY, sallied out from a low oak. A
late Ruby-crowned Kinglet fluttered nearby. After things quieted down we
drive over to upper Sligo Creek Park, off Orbaugh, to find lots more bird
song and several FOYs.
