Hey everyone,

I spent the first half of the day birding Howard and Baltimore
Counties. Highlights include:

Howard

Great Egrets -- 3 -- Flying over Centennial Lake
Bank Swallow -- 1 -- observed while scanning the fields at Central
Farm off of Folly Quarter Rd. First heard calling as it flew
overhead. It worked the marshy area for a little while then flew off
to the west.
Horned Lark -- 1-- singing constantly at Central Farm off of Folly Quarter Rd.
Yellow Warblers -- seemed to be everywhere, singing
Grasshopper Sparrow -- 1 -- bird singing in the large field area off
of Homewood Rd right before Folly Quarter Rd.
Eastern Meadowlark -- 1 -- First heard calling, then viewed briefly in
flight at Central Farm off of Folly Quarter Rd.
Boblinks -- 25 (but probably more) -- working the field at the Central
Farm on Folly Quarter Rd, quite a spectacle of breeding males.

Baltimore

Wood Duck -- 1 -- flying down the Patapsco River off of Old Court Rd.
Yellow-throated Vireo -- 2 -- seen/heard singing on the Baltimore side
of the Patapsco River off of Old Court Rd.
Yellow-throated Warbler -- 2 -- seen/heard singing on the Baltimore
side of the Patapsco River off of Old Court Rd.
Cerulean Warbler -- 1-- seen/heard singing on the Baltimore side of
the Patapsco River off of Old Court Rd.
Prairie Warbler -- 1 -- heard singing off of Hernwood Rd.
Hooded Warbler -- 1 -- heard singing off of Hernwood Rd.

A brief stop at the Patuxent NWR North Tract -- AA County, produced a
singing Black-throated Blue Warbler.
