Oxbow Lake, 5/6/11, Great Horned Owlets have fledged

Today I checked the tree with the Great Horned owl nest in it. Discovered the two owlets have fledged. Although probably still relatively close to the nest and will be begging for food from the adults, the owlets were nowhere in sight.

Water Snakes in the vicinity of the Fishing Hole today.
