Looks like it was a bit of a flight night last night, which may be good elsewhere but apparently resulted in a net loss for Ft. Bayard. The great warbler show of the previous two days is over, though a few new birds showed up. Best bird for the park was a first-ever SWAMP SPARROW.
Also had a PEWEE, my first flycatcher of any species this spring here (which is unusual--usually I have phoebes and sometimes Leasts), a female INDIGO BUNTING. Still around were a couple of SCARLET TANAGERS, and a calling but unseen ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK.
On the warbler front, there were no obvious additions. CHESTNUT-SIDED and YELLOW WARBLERS continue, as do REDSTART and (not surprisingly) BLACKPOLL. Heard a few Yellow-rumped chips but there were not very many.
