Common Moorhens at Hughes Hollow

Janet Ardam, who can't post here, sends this report:

I was at Hughes Hollow on May 10 from 7:30-8:30 pm. I was looking for the Purple
Gallinule - heard but didn't see it - but much to my delight saw a pair of Common
Moorhens hanging out with a Coot and a pair of Pied Bill Grebes. They were across
the main impoundment on the left near where the 3 bird houses are together. They
were on some dry vegetation a little in front of the main shoreline. I had a very
good look at them in perfect lighting.
