There were three barred owls out in DC during morning surveys.

One in Glover-Archbold Park off Reservoir Road, NW DC and 2 on the C&O Canal north of Flethcer's Cove. All three were being harrassed by American Crows.

A tagged black vulture was part of a mixed vulture flock roosting next to Chain Bridge Road. Orange left wing tag 278 in black writing. I sent info to USGS banding lab already. Does anyone know who might be tagging black vultures?

Other highlights this morning included a warbling vireo, 4 great-crested flycatchers, seven Swainson's thrushes, and finally a pair of prothonotary warblers using one of the nest boxes! Success!
