Hi All,

I checked out Ft. Totten Park in DC this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't get there until 8:45 am and only stayed an hour, but saw some interesting things:

Resident Birds:

Hairy Woodpeckers (Nesting)
Great Crested Flycatcher (pair)
Eastern Towhee (Nest building)
Red-eyed Vireos (2 pairs)
Eastern Wood Pewee (pair)
Blue-gray Gnatchatcher (singing)
Catbirds (multiple pairs)
Carolina Wrens (family with fledged young)
Cardnal (multiple pairs)
American Robin (nest building)
Cooper's Hawk (possible resident? - roosting, then soaring)
Wood Thrush (one very quick look, but not enough to ID - last year nested)

Late Migrants:

American Redstart (Female)
Swainson's Thrush

What is nice is that we can now indicate breeding information on the new eBird data entry page!  Here's the experimental link: http://demo.ebird.org/ebird/submit

Good Birding and Breeding Season!
