The Purple Gallinule is still present, vocalizing at 4:30  slightly to the
north of the path (100 feet north of parking lot). I checked  back there
several times until 7:30, but never saw it. 
Present in the other impoundment; 
1 Female Hooded Merganser (sans chicks)
1 pair of Wood Ducks
1 American Coot

Also seen: 
5 Green Herons
2 Great Blue Herons
3 Great Crested Flycatchers
3 Indigo Buntings

Also noted:  A gorgeous, healthy fox hunting in one of the fields. 
Absence of other birders.. they must be at the MOS Conference. Enjoy!
