I will report later on birding in Calvert County today, but I wanted to
quickly mention that there are at least two DICKCISSELS - a singing male and a
female -- on Turner Road in southern Calvert County. This was along the
flat, straight stretch of road near the end. Just after coming through the
curvy area there is a large gray-green structure on the left and then a nice
weedy field on the right. The birds were seen on the wires, on the wooden
fence and in the field in this area. Also present were 3 GRASSHOPPER
SPARROWS and one EASTERN MEADOWLARK.
On the downside, I visited North Beach from 1:00 to 1:30 but did not see
the Purple Gallinule.
