Stan's explanation is correct, though I know the use of both Cox Creek and Swan Creek as names for the area creates confusion. Sue Ricciardi and I surveyed that area for years and our primary focus a few years back was compiling data on the wetlands themselves, particularly the mitigated wetland.  Of course, the dredge cells and the wooded areas have much to offer as well!
