For the  last several years, I have had 3 pairs of Gold Finches using my 
feeder  year-round.  Suddenly, I am not seeing any of them at all (and the

Don't worry.
Observation of species behavior requires a longer time than  three years. 
The Goldfinches will return but may not necessarily be the  ones that you 
think are "yours".
 
Your concerns will be happily resolved as time moves  on.
