Morning all,
Just a quick note that the Grasshopper Sparrow is still singing across the fence in the neighbors field. About mid-afternoon I was out spraying Roundup around the edge of the veggie garden, to keep the weeds at bay, when I saw our farmer/neighbor wallking his field with a backpack sprayer doing the same thing. We chatted a while and it's nice to see a small farmer that still applies chemicals in minute amounts, to only the targeted weeds. He was spraying for broadleaf weeds in his field of alfalfa, trying to rid it of mostly a bit of milkweed, which is toxic to animals. I pointed out the singing GRSP to him, and was surprised that he could hear it (he's abit older than I am, so I figured maybe he couldn't hear it very well).

Happy Father's Day to all!
