LOWER Lake Roland has many attributes, but what piqued my interest
was the state of renovation of the lower end (footbridge & picnic area)
and a curiosity of what might be found this time of year.

Also noted: Bullfrogs drumming; Dragonflies (C Green Darner, Common
Whitetail, Widow Skimmer) humming; Damselflies (Ebony Jewelwing,
Common Spreadwing, Azure Bluet) dancing; Butterflies (Cabbage, E.
Tiger Swallowtail, Silver-spotted Skipper) fluttering. Big misses: Wood
Thrush, Scarlet Tanager and Wood Duck.
