I birded my yard/neighborhood this morning and was able to watch the fledgling RED-TAILED HAWKS making clumsy hunting forays over the power lines. WHITE-EYED VIREO singing in the yard.....first I’ve had since spring migration. A sign of movement? A Box Turtle is digging a nest in the garden...maybe she will lay eggs tonight?

Font Hill had 4 GREEN HERONS this afternoon..... Along with singing BALTIMORE ORIOLE, GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER and many RED-WING BLACKBIRDS with babies.
Cute as buttons!

The Phoebes under the little pavilion have fledged.
