Hi this morning I was at the study area of Prettyboy for about 1 1/2 hours.
Here is a list of the bird I saw and heard and the area they were seen.
In the trimmed area:
Ovenbird
Pine Warbler..few
Scarlet Tanagers..many
Red Eyed Vireo
Carolina Wren
White breasted Nuthatches..a group of them in one tree
Great Crested Flycatcher
Cardinals
Bluejays ..many seemed like they were everywhere this morning
Red Bellied Woodie with a young one
Clear Cut area
House Wren
Chipping Sparrows.. seemed like a family ..young ones begging for food
Indigo Bunting..seen at the same tree in the clear cut area
Baltimore Oriole flying over clear cut
Edge of Clear cut area
Pileated Woodpecker and young
Baltimore Orioles hanging out in the tops of the tallest Pine Trees
Mourning Doves
American Crow
Carolina Wren
American Goldfinches
Cardinals
Bluejays
White Breasted Nuthatches
Scarlet Tanagers
Beginning of the loop trail by the road
Downy woodpecker.. a few maybe a family together?

While walking on my side of the Beckleysville last night I heard a barred owl calling off the fireroad on the opposite side of the street and study area.
I was also hearing the Great Blue Herons in the nest. I included a link to my youtube where you can hear the juvies go nuts over the food brought back to the nest. My neighbors hear them and thought we had some wild animals in the woods next to our house.

Last week my family and I took the cruise to Bermuda out of Baltimore. I was hoping to see some new birds on the way out of the Chesapeake but no luck there. We did see a lot of gulls and cormorants.
In Bermuda I saw a lot of Great Kiskadees and had fun watching the long tailed tropicbirds on the Horseshoe beach. Here is a link if you would like to see pic's
