Braved the early afternoon temp's and humidity at this city park, which
included a perimeter walk of the woods, followed by a laborious descent
thru the woods, circumnavigating numerous deadfalls and whacking aside a prodigious growth of stinging nettles (naturtally, I was in shorts) to reach the city "stump dump" below for a look-see. There were only a total
of 15 spp. of birds noted; however, at the stump dump I heard a singular
call: two introductory faint notes, followed by an exclamatory "take three
beers!". Try as I might, I could not spot its source, and finally concluded
it was probably an aberrant variation of the White-eyed Vireo.
