Positively. This evening I spent a few minutes at Perryman...not many birds (not counting the 78 Canada Geese), but there were 5 Least Sandpipers, 1 Spotted Sandpiper, 1 Killdeer and 1 Pectoral Sandpiper getting their beaks muddy. About 3/4 of the impoundment is dry and overgrown and on the way to becoming a scrub field...lots of Indigo Buntings, Goldfinches, and swallows using it...and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo was sounding off out along the edge of the woods. A young male E. Towhee was trying out his new song and struggling to get it right...unsuccessfully. It was a goofy melody and I wish I could have recorded it. I gave him an A for effort and a D for style points.
