I should have been birding with Joe Hanfman this morning as I found neither the White Ibis or the Little Blue Herons this morning ( I was there a little later than Joe).   I ran into Gwen Brewer and we looked in some more swampy areas that she knew, but still no Ibis.  I then ventured into St. Mary's County where I did not find a Dickcissel, but a quick survey of Cornfield Harbor Drive turned up two RED-HEADED WOODPECKERS.  They were on about the sixth telephone pole in  from the two white gates at the entrance to Cornfield Harbor Drive.
