Hi all,
Barry and I and Helen Patton went up to Swan Creek today in hopes of
catching up with some of the good shorebirds being seen there. We
arrived in rather heavy rain but it soon cleared and we had great overcast
skies, cool (for a change) temperatures and nice light. Unfortunately there
were no shorebird (or other) surprises but an enjoyable morning out. The
number of Little Blue Herons was impressive, as were their plumage
variations. A few Western Sandpipers were about, only a single lonely
Least and no sign of a Baird's, alas. Conditions look good however, so
anything could turn up!
