Dan Haas and I scanned the shorebirds in the cells at Swan Creek during lunch today. The large number of peeps reported there continue, along with ~40 Lesser Yellowlegs (that was could see). Many of the peeps were flying up and feeding on the top of the dike closest to the Bay. Given the limited visibility, the numbers are obviously estimates.

Semi Sandpiper - 250
Western Sandpiper - 12
White-rumped Sandpiper - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs - 40
Stilt Sandpiper - 1
Killdeer - 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 6

There wer 7 Caspian Terns in the south cell, but both a Common and a Royal Tern were seen flying out over the Bay. We did not walk down to the wetland.

Good birding!
