I found a Baird's Sandpiper at the north end of Triadelphia Reservoir afternoon. I thought I saw one when I first arrived but couldn't get a definitive look at fieldmarks or get a size comparison with other peeps. Shortly thereafter David Cummings arrived and I was able to relocate the Baird's Sandpiper and we both got good looks at it and nearby Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers for size comparison. The entire time it stayed on the Montgomery side of the area where the Patuxent River empties into the Triadelphia Reservoir. This is basically the same area where a Baird's Sandpiper stayed for several days last year. I departed at about 4 PM when a line of thunderstorms passed thru but David stayed in hopes of seeing the Baird's Sandpiper in the other county. Birds seen in Montgomery County were:

Mallard - 4
Great Blue Heron - 3
Green Heron - 1
Killdeer - 2
Solitary Sandpiper - 4
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Least Sandpiper - 4
Baird's Sandpiper - 1
Pectoral Sandpiper - 4
Belted Kingfisher - 1
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
About 30 peeps were on the distant Cattail Creek banks in Howard County but didn't focus on trying to separate the Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers.
