Checked out Gov Bridge Nat. Area in AA co. today after work to hopefully see the previously reported OSFL and GWWA. When we arrived at about 5 pm the Olive-sided Flycatcher was, well, flycatching from the big snag by the river and perched there briefly. It was in full sun and we could clearly see the very dark "vest" contrasting with the whitish belly and the straight-backed, almost arrogant posture. By the time we rounded the corner towards the boat launch, it had disappeared and we did not see it again for the remainder of our time there, which was about an hour. There were loads of other flycatchers around including several adult and juvenile E. Phoebes and several adult and juvenile E. Wood Pewees that also took turns perching in the snag with an adult Red-bellied Woodpecker and 2 juveniles. Also had 1, maybe 2 "Traill's" Flycatchers that did not vocalize. We did not see the Golden-winged Warbler but saw a Yellow Warbler and an Orchard Oriole, White- and Red-eyed Vireos, Blue Grosbeak, etc. We also heard 2 Barred Owls calling off and on most of the time we were there.
