A note about the hurricane yesterday.....at 630 pm I had a flock of Chimney swifts flying in a tight group very low before disappearing for the night. I also had 2 Hummers that sat on the feeder until 745...near dark before they also left.

Today I went to the Howard Conservancy in the afternoon. I had 100+ goldfinch in one flock but no other notable birds. I did however hind a Nason’s Slug caterpillar which I have been dreaming of finding for years! http://flic.kr/p/ahb6kB

Walking Remy tonight in the neighborhood I had a single flyover LAUGHING GULL and 2 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS.
