Sorry for the late post. Maren Gimpel and I chased the Mourning Warbler that Ron Gutberlet had found earlier in the afternoon (8/25) at Terrapin Park. We got to the park at 1800 and searched the area he found the bird for about 1/2 an hour, with no luck and very few birds in general we moved on. We eventually tracked down the Mourning Warbler in the scrubby area between the parking lot and the large pond. This was possibly a second individual, different from the one Ron found, as this bird differed slightly in plumage from Ron's description. Other migrants of interest in this area were a Worm-eating Warbler, Canada Warbler, Prairie Warbler and a nice male Black-throated Blue Warbler.
